O first cartoon to be produced is called "Humorous Phases of Funny Faces" (comic Phases of Funny Faces). Created by the English settled in the United States J. Stuart Blackton in 1906, the animation was a chalk drawing on a blackboard, portraying characters like a clown and a puppy.
The film brought animations of 20 frames per second, the "stop-motion" technique. In the first scene, you can see the designer arm action. Then the animation takes over, packed by a soundtrack to the piano, typical of silent film. Check it!
